Don't worry, don't be afraid, because this is just a ride

I have not been blogging since October last year. It might not seem a long time, but there is a lot you can do in 60+ days and I have had done a lot and built up some good memories with my lovely family.  Not blogging about the daily and weekly everyday things that form part of your life can soon be forgotten however when they don't appear mile markers, or big events, but life is not just about so called "big events" its about each and every precious moment, because they all are just that, even the ones that challenge us. It's why I want to remember these things and not forget, so here I am again!

Right now I have a stinky cold so am in bed with a roll of toilet paper by my side whilst Dexter is watching TV and Anders has gone to a car boot sale and take Marvin & Carly for a walk. I hate not feeling great and I thankfully this doesn't happen very often, but as I am I thought this might be a good time to kickstart this journal again, my reminder of events, little and big.

So 2013, new year eh! I am struck with how often this is viewed like the passing of a person with a simultaneous birth of a child that only lives to be one! I therefore like to think of New Year like a birthday. Thinking about it perhaps it can feel like starting to read a new book or moving onto a new chapter in one you are currently reading. It could also be a new paragraph or new sentence but ultimately whatever the analogy, I hope that it develops beautiful lasting memories and images in my mind and those of the people I have contact with.

With that thought in mind, I am going to get up, shower and enjoy a lovely day with my lovely family with the belief that 2013 is going to be a year full of 365 days of events and memories or 353 as this day is 13 and like the year 2013 you know something is happening, but you don't know what it is..... until it has happened :)

  1. Hi Joanna, so glad to hear that your blog will be returning, I missed all your stories and photos of Edinburgh and all your other fab photos. Hope you're feeling better soon. Are they skiing down the mound yet in Edinburgh?
