Anthony Gormley - Everything is going to be alright!

As I have mentioned there have been 6 Anthony Gormley sculptures placed along the Water of Leith. I have now found 5 of them, so only one more to go!

The grounds of the Gallery of Modern Art are beautifully landscaped with many large sculptures dotted around including by Henry Moore.

Not only are the grounds impressive but so is the Gallery Building itself, but then again we have a lot of them in Edinburgh which makes it such a beautiful city.

The outside of the building there is an instillation that reads :-)

Everything is going to be alright!

Well maybe not for the 5th of the Anthony Gromley statues it isn't as it is half submerged in concrete at the entrance!!! Love the humour of it all, just perfect!

I jest, the sculpture definitely seems alright, well he isn't going anywhere! This one might be submerged consistently in concrete, the others are at the mercy of the rise and fall of the river!

Anthony Gormley & Marvin

Marvin went swimming today beside the Anthony Gormley statue in the Water of Leith. This is the 4th of the 6 statues I have found. This one is at the Gallery of Modern Art.

Marvin went swam out to fetch a stick, this is the first time he has had a full on swim in the Water of Leith, and I managed to get a video of it too - see below this.

Carly didn't go in at all, she is such a lady!

Anthony Gormley Iron Man watching over Leith, Royal Yacht Britannia & everyone else who sails into harbour!

There are 6 Anthony Gormley's situated along the water of Leith, I have so far found the time to find 3!

This one looks out to sea from Leith Docks. It is next to the Royal Yacht Britannia, various other large cruise ships and industrial tankers. Here he is at the very end of this broken wooden pier!

That is what he would see if he turned his head to the left....

Guarding the sea and all that sail into harbour......

The land on the other side is the Scottish Fife coast.
