The beauty of a Pug

The pug, so distinguished with wrinkles that give it so much character
Oh how those lines make you seem so mentally taxed
Or is it those huge round bulging eyes that make me feel your brain is ticking
and that is why I cant help but adore you

Your lines they tell a tale of battle
Your nose a Napoleonic boxing ring tale
You are a gentleman so noble to me
With your round belly that looks fit to burst.

Oh how I think you are sweet
Oh how I just want to kiss you
I just love the way you snort and you sneeze
When I see you I just have to get down on my knees
to say that you are a breed I adore
Confusing you some more, yep I know!

Then life just bursts into colour!

Got this painting in Miami Beach by JG Clonney years ago along with another one of a cat.  I just love these paintings and Pugs and French Bulldogs (luckily Marvin and Carly can't read so they are none the wiser!)

Indestructible dog bed by Wainwrights

This Wainwrights dog bed was bought because it came with a lifetime guarantee as being indestructible - chew resistant apparently!!!

Well for the last 6 months it has been, but during the duration of us going into the cinema to see Prince of Persia, Marvin & Carly decided to give it another go, and look what we came back to the car to find - both of them curled up in a cloud of stuffing!!!

Do you think they look guilty?

Meet Mr Bean & a Pussycat Doll!

This is a Boston Terrier called Mr Bean. I like these types of dogs (and Pugs/French Bulldogs) because they have such funny faces. I personally just want to dress them up, or put them in photo's/paintings in rediculous costumes - probably why I have not been the one allowed to chose the dogs we have!!!
And here is an adourable wee girl we spotted whilst Dexter was enjoying an ice cream. She too was enjoying hers and is clearly a Pussycat Doll!

Funny Face in a fantasy island....

Just thought these 3 photos really captured the fun that Marvin & Carly had at the beach......

Think they could be on a "doggy destination retreat advert" dont they make Portobello Beach look inviting........looks like it could be their fantasy island!

Meet Rudy the Sailor!!!

couldn't stop laughing at Rudy the Sailor! Butch or what...... I personally love it!
This wee guy (shh, did I say that) thinks he is so matcho!

He barks every time he sees Marvin & Carly, although he seems to give up earlier now.....

.... think he is starting to find Carly rather attractive.... and so he should!

Come on in Carly, the water really is warm!!!

Marvin tries to get Carly to cross the stream .....

"Come on in Carly, the water really was lovely" Marvin shouted across the stream......

"But I'm a Lady" Carly shouted whilst trying to find a spot where she didn't have to get her feet too wet to cross over.......

"I know, I have been in already" said the Spaniel "I'll come over as you look rather handsome"

"Yes indeed I am, and you smell rather lovely too young lady".......

Well 2 can play at that game Marvin, Carly thought to herself as she crossed the stream by taking the dry bridge route shouting "Catch me, Catch me" to a Border Collie, just to prove a point that she too was rather lovely......
