Love is in the air.....

The old cine lens which I am using does a full on vignette all by itself!

Life is blooming all around, the trees are coming to life and the birds are finding mates and life seems to be blooming everywhere!  Feels like love is all around this April!

The sky has been bright blue all weekend and we have had such a lovely time being out and about in it.  It was so hot this weekend it felt like summer and not April!  Just need to get all the film spools developed so I can show you.......

Flowers

I love flowers, their daintiness, their femininity, their ability to make a waste land look less hostile. They have the ability to calm and extend comfort and compassion, flair passion, share sorrow and joy. They commemorate and symbolise something of meaning and provide a world full of colour and scent.

The sunflower, so childlike and lanky - like a catwalk model.

This pink flower, so delicate, almost like a butterfly or a frilly petticoat

This lily so fragrant, and dramatic

These chrysanthemums, so oriental and splendid

Wild ground cover flowers which withstand harsh winds

This orange lily so autumnal in colour, yet here it was in summer

The Scottish Thistle, which represents a nation

A wonderful yellow rose which represents faithfullness, something one wants from a loved one and friend....

Flowers, they are just so beautiful, too many to have in this one post, but here are some I came across this week......

Azaleas are in full bloom

I just wanted to pick this particular one and stick it in my hair, run to the house and sit in the back with a cold drink in a glass and think I was on holiday as the weather was so lovely on this day and these Azaleas were just stunning and can't help but make me feel happy with their bright colours and feathery petals......
This one reminded me of a Japanese Bonsai the way it was growing...

Such beautiful vibrant colours and I can't remember seeing a yellow or white one looking quite as magnificent as these two did...
Maybe it was where they - at the post office depot where I had to go to collect a parcel. They were slap bang in an industrial setting. Apparently until the grass had been cut, no-one had known they were there!!!!

I often think about getting them for the garden, but then they only look great when the flowers are out, the rest of the time they are just a bush, dare say if they are kept like the one that reminded me of a Japanese Bonsai then a well kept one!

How do you like my new flowers?!

They are all fake, hard to believe it eh?
