A dog's best friend.....

They get on really well together, but the real rough and tumble is when Marvin & Carly play together!

Dexter just dips in and out of the play with them as and when he pleases!

On this occasion he runs up to tell me to.....

Talk to his hand!!!
.... showing me his hand and laughing as I look to see his drawing that looks like Anders, his Daddy who is always close to hand!

Two handsome boys - guess who?

Yep, what a surprise I hear you say....

But, hey, I just think they look great, my two handsome boys and of course the very photogenic puppies....

No matter what the weather, they make every shot look good

Oh, I wish I looked as great in photographs as my two boys do.

Cardboard Cutouts!

I have no idea how these photographs came out looking like I had cut and paste Anders & Dexter into a false beautiful beach scene, but I can assure you I didn't. I could of course understand why someone might think I had as it is hard to believe that a city beach in Scotland looks so positively tropical!

Maybe, they are standing in front of some backdrop and that my life is all a dream! Maybe this whole blog is made up! Ha, ha, ha - if all my photos turned out looking like this then I might wonder too but I assure you these are all real, including my two lovelies - I have pinched myself to check and thank goodness!

Flat out but not bored!

What a lovely time I spent, down on the ground, rolling about in the grass, playing with my lovely boy Dexter and our two dogs Marvin & Carly.

As Dexter drew pictures, I snapped pictures of him and our dogs with my i-phone

What a lovely relaxing way to spend an evening in the warm setting sun, sittin' on the grass

Old Spice.....It's like white water rafting....

That is what Dexter thought it would feel like (not that he has ever been, but Anders has and his description of it is how Dexter interpreted white water rafting as being).

I thought it looked like an advert for Old Spice from the 1970's

Because of that we went to the beach, and am I glad we did as we has such a lovely time.

So as you can see today, we went to the beach. We were going to go to Arthur Seat however it was closed off to traffic because of the Moon Walk which is a charity moonlight walk in aid of Cancer Research - glad that was the case as this was so much better.

The sea was frothy with lovely waves lapping into the shore as the tide was coming in. It looked so inviting that Dexter decided to walk right into it fully clothed, and once his shoes and socks were wet, he decided to take them off and run right in and dive into the waves as they rolled in with all his clothes on except for his shoes and socks (as if that would make a big difference)!

Luckily we always have a towel in the car, however the down side for him was that he had no change of clothes, so instead he had to go home in a towel -
turned out not to be as horrific as he initially thought it might be so I guess we better be prepared for him doing this again!

Frothy......

Just come back from the beach and captured some fantastic photographs (or at least I think so), Makes you realise what a wonderful world it can be and amazingly this is in Edinburgh!

Alfresco

Decided that as the weather had been nice yesterday and because it was still quite warm with no breeze when it was time for dinner that as an impromptu surprise Dexter, Anders & I would dine on the balcony alfresco! I had marinated the Duck Confit the evening before, so
it was just down to cooking it today and serving it with a nice salad.

Here are my two boys making fun of me taking pictures!
How could they!!!!
Dexter liked my Duck Confit, or at least he appeared to!........
......Wee Girl sat on our extension copper roof
and Marvin & Carly sat hinting and wondering why there were not a
spare couple of chairs there for them!!!

And then it was over, all cleared up as if we had not been there!

Things that cheered me up today....

Some things that I saw today which made me smile and feel like things are what you make them....
Horse shoe prints in the sand, reminded me that even if I encounter people who are a pain in the ass, at least I can remember I am married to someone who loves me very much....
My lovely Anders, as a team we can deal with anything, how could we not when we have produced such a lovely like.....
Dexter, a wee person who just brings so much joy......
So, seeing a beautiful butterfly - whispered my wishes to it, hope they come true

Saw a beautiful clear blue sky, with fireball sun, birds flying high - you know what I mean.....
The lovely Marvin & Carly, bright colours on the beach.....
Ducks in the river
daisies in the grass.....

May the horse shoes in the sand bring good fortune, to me, my family and anyone else who wants to be positive with me.......
