Sometimes that is just how a weekend seems to pass, but we had a lot of fun buzzing about doing nothing! Yeh, as if we do nothing!!!

Shadows to get lost in.
I love this video and song, both are beautifully done.
Why not enter my competition too? Interested, then click here
What did I do at the weekend, well we went for a cycle, it was beautiful on Saturday morning and we were lucky as we got back just in time for the rain to come down and us to enjoy some hot chocolate!
Here are some shadows I saw which I thought were really pretty....
They almost look like water being reflected but they are not, they were just beautiful shadows bouncing off a very old railway bridge along the cycle path which stretches for miles and miles.
And here are some allotments (there are a few of these scattered around Edinburgh which you can rent plots from the Council). They reminded me of the picture I put in my Scavenger Hunt Sunday post, but Boo wasn't there this time! If you want to see that click here and you will see what I mean!

Chanson D'Amour
![]() |
This might be another photo from Barcelona, but it was in their main boulivard which feels very French! |
Talking about sweet and romantic things, Dexter found this rose on the ground. It was tired but the perfume from it was so lovely. He ran up to me and said "I found this for you" - I love that wee lovely so much.
My lovely above who found this rose behind a tree and gave it to me!
As we all took Marvin & Carly for a walk!
He also drew me a picture for Halloween

Now that I am feeling all warm and fuzzy, I heard this on the radio whist driving and it took me back to my childhood! I had forgotten all about it, but once you hear it it sticks in your head and as soon as it came on the radio I was singing it at the top of my voice and then couldn't get it out of my head. This song does that!

Halloween is approaching....
Music for Halloween to get you in the mood - I am so excited. Friday is a big finale end to this season of Dexter I am on the edge of my seat, last week I was so scared for the boy John Lithgow captured - the twists, the turns, I can't wait!

Visions of the orient
Ryucci & Me! |
I grew up being obsessed with Japan the country and all things oriental, particularly Japanese and desparately wanted to visit Japan. I vowed that one day I would go and I am glad to say that with Anders and Dexter we did 2 years ago in April. We all want to go back as it is a fantastic place.
Not only was I obsessed with Japan as a country, I also growing up loved Japan (the band) as a teenager and when the film Merry Christmas Mr Lawerence came out I thought Ryucci Sakamoto was seriously stunning and there too cemented my love of Japan again! If it was Japanese, it was cool and I remember playing "forbidden colours" over and over again.
Funnily enough Dexter is son now is learning Japanese, his best friend is half Japanese and he too loves everything Japanese so clearly this has rubbed off on him too. I have since seen Ryucci play twice in the UK, both times with my lovely Anders, but his most recent trip here earlier this year, I met him too (not looking my best I hasten to add, but didn't expect to get my photo taken with him!).

birds...
I just read such a sad story about some birds over at
It inspired me linking up and thinking of this Beatles song.
