Laughter....

Scavenger Hunt Sunday -

Red and yellow..... I sense a similarity......

Did I stumble upon the Colonel or was it Santa taking a holiday before the Christmas rush? No he is rather sharply dressed in red as you can see, so clearly if he is the Colonel then he is off duty too!

But then there are my very own 2 redheads, Marvin (not so sharp) & Carly (too sharp for her own good):

Yep, they look so polite and well mannered. Little does this photo show Carly as being a complete floozy as she is in heat. Here she is kissing him!

Although confused (I did say he wasn't the sharpest tool in the shed) about the whole thing Marvin does know his place, that said he is still showing me he is a boy and has big clackers so why am I stopping him helping Carly out!!!

So to calm myself, I have a cup of coffee, and look at my i-phone with it's red cover!

Glad I wasn't wearing this when I saw the Colonel, otherwise they might have thought we were together Mr & Mrs Kentucky Fried Chicken, or Mr & Mrs Clause - not sure which is the better?!

Well the Colonel & Santa clearly like their food, and well, the kitchen is the heart of our home space. Not that I am a Domestic Goddess by any stretch of the imagination, but I do like to pretend!

Don't get me wrong, I can cook - but I am no January Jones from Madmen, although I do have an extensive vintage wardrobe which I am sure her wardrobe lady would be impressed with if she saw!

And our home space is full of love, it isn't a place short of that.....

..... and when I think about it, Marvin & Carly sort of match our kitchen home space!

and they too take a great photo!

they can turn the simplest of fences to something really pretty and interesting.

So does Mr Puff, but he is only taking a peek in here to say hello on day 9 of his own 365 day blog! He doesn't want to miss out on anything you see as things are so exciting for him.

Talking about getting excited, Marilyn Monroe gets a lot of people excited with her beauty and here she is singing a song dedicated to one type of rock which makes a lot of ladies get excited......

Diamonds are very sparkly rocks.....

In case you are wondering, this one isn't real but I do

it was!

Come to think of it, a diamond is incredibly sharp too. You use diamonds to cut glass.

I wonder, if the ring was a huge diamond, would it cut through the sharp tongue and sense of humour of Anders!!!

Yep, Ander's thinks he is very funny (and actually he is but shhhhh)

This is what he kindly pointed out to me as we walked along the road from our local butchers shop:

No, not the book on the left, the one on the right - "The day the world exploded Krakatoa"! His nickname for me Krakatoa Crackpot, which he uses if he thinks I am being particularly dumb or demented!

I'm such a lucky girl.

Is Ander's sharply dressed too? He can be but surprisingly he didn't want to dress up for me to photograph him...... so instead here we have my stand in for him, Dexter's Mr Lego who is dressed pretty sharply and Dexter likes a lot - he is pretty sharp.

A vintage tails suit which will make some guy look sharply dressed, but is too small for Anders as I did point it out to him before......

.......and what's this The Colonel/Santa again in a different suit who is following who?!

He seems to have a thing for dressing up, this suit is covered in dragonflies!

He tells me his favourite one is vertically half white and half black - can't wait to spot him wearing that!!!!

And there's my helpful handsome husband in the background of The Colonel. There he is carrying the groceries we got along the road (and just after he showed me the Krakatoa book!). I think he is one hunky prime piece of beef!

The Beach

I love seeing Dexter have fun with his friends, the carefree way they play, and the laughter and giggling that takes place between two pals is just so lovely to see.

So how did we start the weekend, Friday early evening (6pm) we took Dexter and his friend Joseph to the beach to run around and jump in the waves.....

then getting dried off and changed and sitting down to fish & chips whilst looking out to sea

and finding shapes in the clouds - Dexter saw a dragon, and Joseph saw a spine!

how great to see simple things give them so much excitement, giggles and joy!

Similarly, Marvin & Carly have a great time there too, although things have been tough for Marvin lately (and all of us too) with him lusting over his sister!!!

How can we not let him have his way with Carly!!!!

Yes he is but he still isn't getting his way with our Pamela no matter how much he flaunts himself.

Cafe Gandolfi, Glasgow

Dexter won 1st place at Kickboxing on Sunday in his category, to celebrate he asked if we could go and eat at Cafe Gandolfi as he loves their Macaroni Cheese. Of course we said Yes!

Cafe Gandolfi is a really lovely place which is all wood inside, the furniture is made by Tim Stead which compliments the arts and crafts feel about the place. In addition to the wooden decor they have beautiful stained glass windows and their food is comfort food in style.

Anders had Venison & Dauphinoise Potatoes, and I had Meatloaf with potato salad, course no celebration would be complete without pudding.

Home made ice cream - mmmmmm

Dexter didn't want pudding as he was so full, I had their Ginger Stem ice cream and

Anders had the Chocolate & Caramel ice cream which was so light and fluffy, not that he wanted to anyone to try it......

..... Yep, makes a girl!

Vintage Shopping

Oh, I love vintage clothes, so I thought why not try out my camera on this lovely little shop!

With good reason I have been avoiding it.....

......I was so hoping that there was not going to be anything in my size to tempt me. To go in without thinking that (i.e. is there anything here for me) is difficult enough, and I have eyes like a hawk in homing in on things that I (or my friends) might like. With this in mind I would have needed a blindfold to stop me noticing and not just this eye mask & veil!

Mind you, with my super powers of finding vintage finds, perhaps this could work well as part of my superhero costume!!!

Coffee Morning with a Lookalike!

I was so tired at the beginning of the week Monday (bank holiday it was in the UK) morning, I desperately needed a coffee so took a picture of my coffee on my i-phone!

I wasn't so tired, that I didn't spot this father & son who came into the cafe where Anders & I were having coffee! They looked so visually amazing, I couldn't believe my luck, a photo opportunity for me to attempt to do some Sartorialist style photos (I wish, but practice will make perfect)!

Individually they would catch your eye walking in somewhere, but together - WOW, they were amazing and my brain soon kicked in saying "get your camera clicking you stupid woman"!

As I chatted to the two of them with Anders smiling, drinking his coffee, and rolling his eyes at my excitement (he has nothing to worry about you see as after the time we have spent together I still think he is the most beautiful man my eyes have feasted upon every single day, warm sigh!

Anyway, back to these two visually interesting chaps, as I finished my coffee, thanked the two chaps for letting me take their photograph and quickly spoke to one of the mums who also happened to be in this cafe whose kid attends Dexter's school, who said "phwoar he is hot, you lucky thing for capturing him" I just laughed and thought, yep, woke me up too (but mine was for purely photographic reasons of course)!

Don't you think the chap on the left looks a little like the late Michael Hutchins from INXS?

Anders I know you will read this, and I assure you, x my heart (with nothing crossed except my heart) yes he was dishy, but not nearly as dishy as you as you well know!

Now poor reader, you are either being violently sick at this show of smoosh, or thinking "awww, wish (or wonder) if my honey is thinking that of me! Sorry if it is the former, and I hope so if it is the latter!

No dirty laundry in my closet, nope - then again, this isn't my laundry!!!
