Sergeant Ice

This picture reminded me of a cool 1960's band type image.  It is of my lovely Dexter (part of my job description to constantly repeat how wonderful he is!) who just inspires me and makes me smile each and every day.  Everything is frozen, and my camera lets me capture these moments too and freeze them in time.

Winter is here and the snow has really fallen, and with it has made beautiful thin ice which we were amazed at.  It was so fragile and beautiful

and was only slightly thicker than the leaves which got trapped in bits of it - so so delicate.

Snow doesn't fall in November here in Scotland, so it is nice to celebrate its beauty.  Dexter, he is stunning all year round (told you, part of my job description to celebrate his loveliness!) - if he reads this he will partly be really happy and partly be embarrassed (again part of the job spec!) - I love being his Mum.... and now lets hear a song that Dexter, Anders and I love.....

  1. I love the contrast of all of your snowy photos against your sunny beachy header.

  2. You're right - the first photo does look a bit like a 1960s band poster :)

  4. My kids were collecting sheets of ice a couple of days ago. They were so excited! It's funny how that sort of activity is so universal. This is a lovely memory that you have captured.

  10. I am so pleased you like these photographs and thank you for leaving me comments to say so. I have to admit that I really love the first photograph, but more importantly, I love my son who inspires the photograph to happen. Thank you for taking the time to leave me a comment, I really do appreciate it.
