Homage to Jean-Michel Basquiat and a forgotten date!

Homage to Jean-Michel Basquiat; (Portrait of Andy Warhol as a Banana)
I love Jean-Michel Basquiat's work, it is fantastic.  I always have had a thing for the paintings he produced, so when I saw that he was a February "extra inspiration" over at ACoLab, I thought yey!  What a fabulous way to start February and it makes me smile.

Brown Spots, (Portrait of Andy Warhol as a Banana) 1984
This was such a lot of fun doing it that I am going to push myself to see if I can capture some more homages to him and his work as he is my muse for February.

Now on top of this, on Friday at the last minute Anders, Dexter and I decided to go and have burgers at Bells Diner.  It wasn't until we were sitting there however that I realised, Anders and I went there 22 years ago to the very day on our first date!

Both Anders and I had completely forgotten it was the anniversary of our first date!!

We had a great time and totally pigged out on burgers, chips, coleslaw and salad.

It was a dinner fit for a king, queen and prince, yes our royal selves 22 years older with our handsome honey the very lovely, Dexter - couldn't think of a better spur of the moment way to celebrate it a.

Just before you leave this blog, Carly is ok, her eye has taken well to the medication, no need for surgery, and her sight looks as if it is going to be fine.  We were told that by the vet yesterday so yey!!!
