What's that buzzin around? Vintage Fashion Finds Friday!

I love clothes, but especially vintage finds and often wonder who wore them, what stories they could tell, blah, blah......and what new stories they will have from their new owner, and in my case, me!
Floral brooch with bumble bee from 1940's 1950's era.

Saw this brooch yesterday evening, and it made me laugh as it is so over the top, so I bought it!  It is a vintage brooch (from the 1940's or 1950's) of a flower with a bumble bee on it.....The bee is happy, I am happy, that's a good start to a Friday!

So what have I teamed this vintage find with you may well ask!!! Well, I was in a hurry this morning (so threw it on with this little assortment of other vintage accessories -

Scarf from Charity Shop, 60's Earrings from vintage jewellery shop in Stockbridge and ring from shop in Cockburn Street.  Brooch from shop which has just opened in St Stephen Street, Stockbridge, Edinburgh

Here is the brooch, attatched to the scarf which is worn across my middle at around empire line with a 1960's coat which I am wearing with black Capri pants and ballet shoes!

Seeing I am going vintage, I love the fact that in old photos, often heads were cut off in them, so as I didn't have a lot of time to do anything with my hair today, that's rather handy I think!!!  So here I am.

What are you wearing today?

Here is what my mum was wearing at some point in the late 1960's as I am on that vintage trail.  She liked to party and have a laugh too.

Mum on the right saying "Cheers" in Spain

Mum on the right having a boogie in Spain in the 1960's wonder what she was dancing to?  Perhaps it was the song in my previous blog belonging to a famous persons parents!!!  Click here if you want to read about that.

  1. Wow, those are great pictures of your mom. Pictures of smiles, dancing, and laughter, are the very best. I guess I don't have any pictures of me like that? I should take some, or have someone else take them OF me, for my babies sake.

    Your outfit is cute.
    I'm wearing sweats, HAH.

Tia, sweats can be very glam, I have no doubt you wear them well it is not about what you wear, it is about how you wear them.

Ladies - love you all, air kisses to you all, and, yes, I am having a laugh, I do love fashion but I do like to have fun with it.
