Artists in training

and this finger puppet on Dexter cannot take the credit for this, nope, it was William Wegman who has an exhibition on at the City Arts Centre! Putting this in however is rather apt for the finger theme on at The Paper Mama....

The Paper Mama

So, we took both Dexter & Ben to see the William Wegman exhibition which they really enjoyed (really glad about that as I love him and Dexter remembers me reading books he has done when he was smaller, especially because wee to had a Weimaraner for 14 years who died 3 years before we then got Marvin & Carly). Ben & Dexter enjoyed it so much so that they wanted to go to do some creative drawing in the area they have set aside for children (and adults)!

Ben attentively studied the hand and drew it beautifully
Dexter was inspired by an anatomy drawing book and created
"Zombie in the Dark" and.......

........ "Weirdo"

They all have a story feel about them don't you think? Will do something with Dexter and post it later, perhaps next month......

I too got creative, but I will post that another day in the hope it keeps you wanting more and also this post is about Dexter & Ben and their drawing fingers!

  4. Thank you and yes if you hadn't guessed it already, I am very proud indeed. I will be getting the ones Dexter did framed properly as I think they are really good (I have a whole portfolio of his work which he has produced since he started making things) and have framed a few of them.

  5. Forgot to say, Ben was really proud of his too, and he took his home to his mum who I am sure will frame his too.
