Harvest Festival which brought tears of joy!

Dexter's School had their Harvest Festival this morning and Dexter's class was hosting it so the parents of those in his class were invited to come along and watch too.  It was so beautiful (bias Mummy talking here of course), and as it was all about a time of year I love it just made me so happy.  All the kids were just so great in it.  I loved it and had tears of joy running down my face as it was so delightful to see.  I liked the singing so much that I thought I would post it so you could enjoy seeing it with me!

The story of the Good Samaritan (original version where Dexter is "the Good Samaritan" and the modern version which is how the kids translated the story into how it associates in today's world).

Of course no school Harvest Festival is not complete without some singing, so here are some of the songs:

I loved the songs, they were so sweet and sincere and it just made me so happy being part of this and Autumn.  The final song they sang was Harvest for the World, and excuse the shaky cam as I boogied in my chair (sure the other parents thought I was nuts but I don't care, it was all I could do to stop myself singing out with them (which I didn't, but I really wanted to) and getting up and dancing in time to this great song (again, restrained myself but I did do side sways and head side shifts in time to the music whilst sitting down on the bench and recording them!).  So here is there version of Harvest for the World, followed by the actual version if you want to get up and start dancing and singing!

Isn't Autumn great!

  4. I love their voices as they narrate the story. And the cute cardboard vehicle :o) And they sounded great singing! I really love their first song. And that was cute that you were wanting to join in with singing and that your camera showed evidence of your "boogying" in your seat :o) haha

    Blessings & Aloha!
