Typewriting tales....

Saw this portable typewriter today, there is something charming about seeing one of these, and hearing the tickety tick of the keys as the roller moves backwards for you to manually move it back just made me smile and think of how it must feel to be a writer.   I do have fun playing at writing now and again, makes me feel like a child again although this time not playing with dolls!

Frustrated by what could only be described as writers block, he needed to think, he needed to make sure he had gotten it just right.  He had planned and perfected everything in his head, the scene had been set and he wanted to make sure his message was just right.  Things were just beginning all over again, he felt angry, he wanted revenge but he had to be calm, to make sure nothing would go wrong.  This waiting excited him, but his father had taught him well, be methodical and make sure it is just right and this one was going to be his best piece of work yet.

Can't wait to find out what happens next with Dexter, love that show and I like the images I got in the shop with my i-phone too - looks a bit like the start of Murder she wrote!

  1. I love Dexter (the show) too...and those images...definitely Murder She Wrote with a little artistic flair!

  2. Oh, how I loved playing with my Mom's typewriter. When my daugher was 9 we bought her a toy one that really worked, and she and her sister played "office" for hours.
